About Jacob
Jacob Voisin is a seventh-year vocal music education and performance major at McNeese State University. A native of Houma, LA, In addition to serving as the president of McNeese Choirs for several years and being a senior member of the McNeese Chamber Singers, Jacob has been a featured soloist with groups such as the Lake Charles Messiah Chorus, the McNeese Jazz Ensemble, McNeese Concert Chorale, and the Glad Tidings Worship Band. He currently works professionally singing tenor in local chamber group BonaVox, with the newly formed Louisiana Vocal Arts Ensemble, and in several local churches. He also has recently become an active member of the Southwest Louisiana theater community, making his stage debut in April 2022 performing scenes from She Loves Me by Bock, and Le nozze di Figaro by Mozart. He has continued taking the stage in such notable local productions as Elf: The Musical, Hello Dolly, Amahl and the Night Visitors, and Anything Goes. Most recently, Jacob appeared as a Chorus Fellow in the Spoleto USA Festival Chorus in Charleston, SC performing a wide variety of music from all eras, including Haydn's Creation. Upon completion of his undergraduate degree, Jacob plans to continue his career as a vocal coach, as well as continue seeking opportunities to perform and grow as a vocal artist in his own right. He also plans to pursue graduate studies in Vocal Performance and Pedagogy.
